Christan Burran (Blue Sky Woman) is an interfaith minister and spiritual
teacher of Cherokee ancestry. She graduated from One Spirit Interfaith
Seminary in 2004, where she studied all the world religions, Spiritual
counseling and Ceremony.
Through an illness experience with undiagnosed Lyme disease for over 10
years she embarked on her own healing journey with Native Elders from the
Ute, Cochiti Pueblo, Lakota and Cherokee Nations, Spending time in Sacred
Ceremony for personal healing. Finding that with Western medicine alone she
could not heal, she studied other forms of healing, though energy and plant
medicine.
She left behind a fast pace life in Manhattan and a lucrative career as a
Make-up Artist in the fashion industry to live in a remote region in the
Catskill mountains to find her own connection to the land and it's profound
healing abilities. It was there that she carried and gave birth to her first
child Phoenix.
Christan was a Member of Sacred Center New York and Studied with Founder
and Spiritual director Rev. August Gold for over Twelve years. Blending her
Native path with the teachings of Ernest Holmes Science of Mind, Tao de
Ching, the work of Caroline Myss and Louise Hay. She also studied with New
York City Yoga master Dharma Mittra.
She facilitates Ceremonial group and private healing circles to help others
remember their connection to all of life and hear their soul's true voice. She has shared her work in ceremony with elementary school children, The
center for Discovery, and Westchester Domestic Violence Center amongst
others.
Christan lives at the foothills of the Mohonk Mountains with her Daughter
Phoenix and many trees.
